The Scrumptious
Enjoyable elegance, old world charm, and mouth-watering modern American cuisine make today's offers from the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern a delicious deal: either pay $25 for $50 worth of food and drink at dinner or offer $15 for $30 worth of food and drink at lunch. Either way, you'll score a scrumptious meal.

This historical landmark and distinctive culinary institution was lovingly restored by owners, Laurie & Gordon Hamm in December '09 and offers customers a broad spectrum of dining rooms, each with a style of its own. Choose from five magnificent fine dining areas (reservations only) of the Crystal and Washington Rooms as well as three rooms upstairs, to the open seating areas of the sophisticated Library bar room, casual Tavern, and al fresco dining in the spring and summer on the bluestone patio. Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern's new Executive Chef continues to raise the bar and will delight your senses with a seasonally changing menu that places flavor and presentation at the forefront of every dish. He incorporates local, farm fresh, sustainable ingredients and boasts a savory All-Day Menu with some casual bar selections as well. Open for lunch and dinner daily, the Ho-Ho-Kus Inn & Tavern also hosts a Bountiful "Buffet" Brunch on Sundays. Their in-house Pastry Chef makes all pastas, desserts, and Artisanal breads fresh everyday & by hand. The bountiful bread basket alone is worth the trip!

Even the most discriminating palate will positively swoon over the tasty treats: start with the Cauliflower Bisque ($8) with maple pork belly & cheddar or the Carpaccio ($14) with chanterelles, parmesan, tomato jam & caper aioli. Their Roasted Chicken with pan gravy, pomegranate, mashed potato & buttered cauliflower ($19) is so good it's sinful, and don't get us started on the Guinness Stout Short Ribs ($26)! Equally memorable are the Salmon ($23) and Big Eye Tuna ($26), and the fresh, handmade Lobster Papparadelle is downright delectable. Leave room for a dessert like the Eight Layers of Chocolate (translation: heaven on earth) with whipped ganache and white chocolate praline crunch, the Pistachio Gelato, or Warm Madeleines. See a full menu here and view photos here.

A true local hot spot, HHK Inn & Tavern offers wonderful Monthly Happeningsa delightful date night or boisterous Boys/Girls Night Out. This month, they are offering a Craft Beer Tasting and the Cellar Club, which will feature South American Wines. Monday is BYOB Night and the corkage fee is waived when you bring your own. Diners agree that the food and ambience at HHK Inn are simply spectacular, with such a wide variety of options that they really do have something for everyone.
